The poll to predict the take-home message of the upcoming ‘”2009 International Conference on Climate Change” is still running! Right now, the hottest predictions are “Fire James Hansen!” followed closely by “Japanese now dispute global warming!”
However, here’s a press release from the Heartland Institute web site which suggests that the conference’s centre of attention may turn out to be… former astronaut Harrison Schmitt.1 Or not. Well, you decide:
Schmitt will be available for interviews during the conference, March 8-10, at the Marriott Marquis, 1535 Broadway (corner of 45th Street).
Personally, I think it’ll be more interesting to interview some people who are not speakers:
[…] in fact when one of the coal supporters was asked why they were there, his response was, “I don’t know I’m just an intern.”
- Brian D mentioned that he voted for “Harrison Schmitt for President!” but somehow his vote isn’t showing up. Weird.
