I kid you not: the Heartland Institute will be hosting yet another ‘conference’ for global warming inactivists, which’ll be called — you guessed it — the “2009 International Conference on Climate Change”. Definitely an event to look forward to! Here are some of the “new research findings” and other stuff which I hope will come up during the conference:
- Lindzen’s latest climate conspiracy theory.
- A brand new academic award for Lindzen, invented by the Heartland Institute just a minute ago, to make up for all the “prizes and awards” he couldn’t get from the
mainstreampolitically-correctist-extremist scientific organizations.
- Michael Fox explaining to Alexander Cockburn why the global warming theory isn’t a conspiracy by the “nuclear industry” to recover from Chernobyl, but is actually a concoction by anti-nuclear hippies.
- The New Zealand Flat Earth Society. (Failing that, a New York Flat Earth Society.)
(Thanks to The Editors for alerting me to Cockburn’s theory.)
