I’ve found that you can listen online to the channel hosting the Littlemore vs. Monckton global warming debate, by surfing to the 630 CHED page and clicking on “NEWS Talk — LISTEN LIVE”.

(Users of Linux with ALSA can record parts of the streamed audio by following Karthik’s instructions — remember to change the parameters 27 and 4 to amixer appropriately.)

  1. Ye gods, CHED?

Anyway, Corus’ website has shifted around a lot since the last time I checked; you used to be able to find the stream URL very easily, which let players like VLC save it without problem. I’m having difficulty finding that stream now, but if it can be tracked down, anyone can save it.

Hmm. Good luck with that! 🙂

(Meanwhile, I just found that I need to record at 32 bits per sample (arecord -f S32_LE … etc.) to prevent clipping. Karthik’s blog entry says to reduce the playing volume, but I can’t find a way to do that and be able to listen in audibly at the same time.)
